Salary

Effective July 1, 2023, current housestaff stipends are:

• PGY-1: $85,010 annual
• PGY-2: $87,385 annual
• PGY-3: $90,294 annual
• PGY-4: $93,330 annual

Medical, Dental, Vision

Housestaff receives medical, dental, and vision benefits during residency.

Vacation

Residents enjoy four weeks of paid vacation each year.

Education

The residency program provides funds to go to regional and national conferences for research and presentations. Also, residents receive home and mobile access to UCLA’s library resources, UpToDate, and board review study materials (MKSAP, Board Basics).

Meals

Every intern/resident receives a weekly meal allowance to use for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, which is available 365 days a year.

Call Rooms

Private rooms are provided when taking overnight call.
